COVID-19 and the mess it has made out of this world
When I opened the shop, I was looking forward to working in a cool hangout where I could sell guitars, amps, accessories, and guitar service/repair. It's a different world now and kind of a mess. Everybody has their own comfort level with masks and how much personal space they need to feel safe. Every business has done what they feel is best to provide good service and keep their customers safe.
I'm in the shop every day, Monday through Saturday and offering two different kinds of shopping experiences.
Monday through Thursday, you will need to SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THE SHOP. You can be the only customer in the shop and have a rock star experience being the center of attention. This is ideal for both players that hate to play in front of a bunch of strangers in a guitar store as well as folks that are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19.
Friday and Saturday, the shop is open noon until seven for walk-in traffic. These are the best days for you if you're needing to just relax and exchange the crazy of this world for the crazy of talking with musicians. You can hang out and maybe learn a lick or two from another player or have a polite argument about whether Ace Frehley is a genius or a hack.
I'm doing my best to serve all customers to the best of my ability. Some people are more comfortable coming in and not being around any more people than is necessary. Some people think of a music store as a hangout and need to take some time chilling with other customers in the shop. There are opportunities to have both types of shopping experiences here.
I look forward to seeing you all in the shop. Even more than that, I look forward to the days when you are able to come in and tell me about the cool gigs you've played over the last weekend!
Until then, let's show one another some grace and keep looking for ways to help our neighbors.
With love from a child of God.
